Forever Vintage is a vintage clothing shop with two branches in the centre of Edinburgh and an online shop that posts worldwide. Football is what this website sells: original club and national-team shirts from the 1980s to recent seasons, training wear, club scarves and framed signed pieces.
Every vintage shirt here is second-hand and one of one: when it sells, that is the last of it. The club scarves and the printed T-shirts are the exception — those are new stock, and we keep them in quantity.
Two shops in Edinburgh

Where the shirts come from
Our shirts come from three places: lots bought from dealers in the UK and Europe, collections we buy privately, and shirts people bring into the shops. However one arrives, it is opened, checked and graded in Edinburgh before it reaches a rail.
How every shirt is checked and graded
Each shirt is checked by hand at the bench: neck label, crest, maker’s marks — the details that tell an original made for the club or manufacturer on the label from a later reproduction.
It is then graded on one scale: New, Deadstock, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Loved. A grade alone tells you little, so we also write down the wear we found — small bobbling on the left sleeve, crest print cracked across the top third — and photograph it.
Last, it is measured flat in centimetres, armpit to armpit and collar seam to hem. A vintage size label is a guide; the measurements are the fact.
Why every shirt is photographed as it is
Every photograph is of the shirt you will receive: not a stock image, not another one from the same season.
A shirt shot to our current standard carries the front, the back, the crest or sponsor, the neck label with the maker and size — and the worst flaw we can find. Older listings, shot before we set that standard, carry fewer. Selling worn shirts by post only works if the pictures tell the truth.
Our guarantee
Every shirt we sell is checked by us and guaranteed genuine: an original shirt made for or by the club, national team or kit manufacturer named in the listing, not a reproduction or replica of a later date sold as the original. If a shirt you bought from us turns out not to be genuine, return it to us and we will refund the full price you paid and your return postage, whenever you discover it. On a signed shirt the guarantee covers the signature as well as the shirt: if the signature turns out not to be genuine, the same full refund applies. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights.
UK delivery is free over £60. Changed your mind? Email us within 30 days of delivery and we send you a prepaid label; post the shirt within 14 days of telling us, and we refund the full price and the standard delivery you paid. Bought in one of the shops? Bring it back within 14 days with your receipt, in the condition you bought it, and we refund you in full. More on our shipping and returns page.
