Terms of service
Last updated: 5 September 2026
These terms cover buying from Forever Vintage, on this website and in our Edinburgh shops. Please read them before you order. They sit alongside our Delivery and Returns policy and our Privacy Policy, which are part of these terms. Nothing here reduces your rights as a consumer under UK law.
1. Who we are
Forever Vintage is the trading name of Forever Vintage Ltd, a company registered in Scotland, number SC811642, registered office 18 Clermiston Road North, Edinburgh EH4 7BL, VAT number GB474059672. Our shops are at 3–5 Hanover Street, Edinburgh EH2 2DL and 72 Nicolson Street, Edinburgh EH8 9DT.
To contact us about anything in these terms, email hello@forever-vintage.co.uk or write to Forever Vintage, 3–5 Hanover Street, Edinburgh EH2 2DL.
2. What we sell
Every vintage shirt we sell is second-hand and one of one; the club scarves and printed T-shirts are new stock. Each listing states the condition grade, describes the wear we found and gives measurements. Please read the description and measurements before you buy: a vintage shirt's size label is a guide, the measurements are the fact.
Vintage means worn. Fading, cracked prints, marks and repairs that we have described and photographed are part of the item, not faults. A flaw we did not describe, wrong measurements or the wrong item is a different matter, and section 8 explains what we will do.
Colours can look different on different screens. We photograph every item ourselves in the same conditions, but a screen is not the shirt.
Our authenticity guarantee. Every shirt we sell is checked by us and guaranteed genuine: an original shirt made for or by the club, national team or kit manufacturer named in the listing, not a reproduction or replica of a later date sold as the original. If a shirt you bought from us turns out not to be genuine, return it to us and we will refund the full price you paid and your return postage, whenever you discover it. On a signed shirt the guarantee covers the signature as well as the shirt: if the signature turns out not to be genuine, the same full refund applies. This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights.
The club crests, sponsor logos and manufacturer marks on the shirts belong to their owners. We are an independent shop. We are not connected to, endorsed by or licensed by any football club, league, sponsor or kit manufacturer.
3. Ordering online, and when the contract is made
You place an order by adding items to your basket, going to checkout, entering your details and confirming payment. You can check and change everything in the basket and at checkout before you press Pay. Orders are placed in English.
When you place an order we email an acknowledgement. That is not acceptance. Because every vintage shirt is one of one and is also for sale in our shops, we check the item is still available before we accept. Our acceptance, and the contract between us, happens when we email to say your order has been dispatched. We keep a record of your order and you can see it in the confirmation email.
If the item has already sold in store, has been damaged, or was listed at a clearly wrong price, we will tell you promptly and refund anything you have paid in full. We will not accept an order for an obviously mispriced item, but we will tell you the right price and let you decide.
You must be 18 or over to place an order, or have a parent or guardian's permission.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any VAT due. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout before you pay; our Delivery and Returns policy explains them. The price you pay is the price shown when you place the order.
You can pay by the methods shown at checkout, including cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Shop Pay and Klarna. Payment through PayPal, Klarna or another provider is also subject to that provider's own terms. We take payment when you place the order, and hold it while we confirm the item is available; if we do not accept the order, it is refunded in full.
Discount codes and reduced prices do not change your right to cancel or return, or your rights if something is faulty.
5. Delivery
Our Delivery and Returns policy sets out dispatch times, delivery options, costs and the free-delivery threshold. In short: we dispatch within 2 working days, UK delivery usually takes 2 to 5 working days after that, and framed items travel by a separate specialist service.
Delivery times are estimates, but we will always deliver within 30 days of accepting your order unless we agree a different date with you. If we miss that, you can cancel and we will refund you in full.
The goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you, or to someone you have nominated to receive them. If a parcel arrives damaged or does not arrive, email us and we will put it right. Ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full and delivered the goods.
If a parcel comes back to us because it could not be delivered and was not collected, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. We may charge the cost of sending it again.
6. Orders delivered outside the UK
If your delivery address is outside the United Kingdom, checkout is handled by our international checkout partner, Global-e, which takes your payment and includes duties and taxes in the price you see. For those orders Global-e is the seller of record and its terms of sale, shown at checkout, apply to the sale; these terms still apply to how we describe our items and to anything else they cover. Your statutory rights are unaffected. Our Delivery and Returns policy explains how returns work on those orders.
7. Changing your mind: cancellation and returns
As an online customer you have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. On top of that we give you 30 days from delivery to tell us you are returning something, with a prepaid label. Our Delivery and Returns policy sets out the full process, what you need to do and when you will be refunded, and includes a cancellation form you can use.
Gift cards cannot be returned for a change of mind. Nothing else is excluded.
8. If something is faulty, damaged or not as described
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the goods must match their description and be of satisfactory quality, taking account of the condition we described. If a flaw we did not mention turns up, the measurements are wrong, or you receive the wrong item, you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that you are entitled to a repair or a replacement (where we have one; most items are one of a kind) and, if that fails, a refund. We pay the return postage. This applies to shop and online purchases alike.
9. Buying in our shops
Sections 3 to 7 are about online orders. In our shops the contract is made at the till.
There is no legal right to return something bought in a shop because you have changed your mind, but we give you one: bring it back within 14 days with your receipt, in the condition you bought it, and we will refund you in full to the way you paid. Your rights if something is faulty or not as described (section 8) apply in full in our shops.
10. Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our doing so, or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses; we sell to consumers for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit or exclude.
11. Using this website
You may use this website to browse and buy for your own personal use. Please do not misuse it: do not try to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, copy our content or listings for another site, or use automated tools to scrape it. If you have an account with us, you sign in with a code we email you; keep that code to yourself and let us know if you think someone else has used your account.
We try to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may take it down for maintenance. Where we spot an error in a listing or a price we will correct it, and section 3 explains what happens if that affects an order you have placed. This paragraph is about the website itself; it does not reduce your rights about the goods you buy.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
12. Reviews and content you send us
If you send us a review, photo or comment, you allow us to use it in connection with our business, including on this website and our social media, without payment. You confirm it is your own, honest, and does not infringe anyone's rights. We may remove content we consider unlawful or offensive. Please do not send us anything confidential.
13. Our content
The photographs, descriptions, text, logo and design on this website are ours or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own use, but not copy or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
14. Privacy
We use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. Our store runs on Shopify, so Shopify processes some of your information to provide the checkout and website; that is covered in our Privacy Policy too.
15. Our platform
This website is powered by Shopify. Your contract for anything you buy is with Forever Vintage Ltd, not with Shopify, and Shopify is not responsible for the goods or for our dealings with you.
16. Events outside our control
If something outside our reasonable control, such as a postal strike, severe weather or a supplier failure, delays or prevents us from delivering, we will contact you as soon as we can and do what we reasonably can to reduce the delay. If the delay is substantial you can cancel the order and we will refund you in full for anything you have paid but not received.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
18. Complaints, law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please email hello@forever-vintage.co.uk first; we would rather sort it out directly. If you are not happy with our answer, you can get free advice from the Citizens Advice consumer service. We are not required to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme and do not currently belong to one.
These terms and any purchase from us are governed by the law of Scotland, and you can bring a claim in the Scottish courts. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the part of the UK where you live, and you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law there.
19. Other terms
If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not insist on something straight away, we can still do so later. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another business, for example if we sell the shop; we will tell you if that happens, and it will not reduce your rights. No one other than you and us has any rights under these terms.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
